Can we meet with you before the wedding?

We prefer to always meet the bride and groom in person before the event. We desire to build a friendship with our clients so we can accurately capture the personalities and romance of each unique couple. A final phone consultation and confirmation call will also take place shortly before the wedding date.

What type of equipment do you use?

We have top of the line equipment, utilizing Canon DSLRs and the Sony HDV family including the Z5U.
We use wireless mics for ceremony vows and rings and have additional mics for interview (if desired).
In addition we utilize stabilization tools and on-camera lights (very inconspicuous lights with controlled dimmers used during general dancing).

Do you shoot interviews with guests?

Although we do not normally interview guests, we will upon request.

What is your style?

We primarily shoot cinematic but are well versed in documentary and upon request will shoot in this format. Our goal is to be unobtrusive while providing the best quality image and capturing the memories and essence of the day and the couple.

How much of a deposit is there to book with Waves?

We ask for a 25% non-refundable payment to book our services. In addition to this we will write a contract both parties will sign clarifying and confirming services.

How much time will it be before we receive our final product?

You can expect to receive your final video product in no more than 5-6 weeks, often sooner.

Do you only do hours of coverage in one block of time or can we split up the day?

Normally we only do a single block of time and do not split days. Please make us aware if you need to split the time up. There will be a fee for breaking up the time.

Can we view the final product then send back changes to be made?

Under normal circumstances the answer to this question is no, unless this was the arrangement made in the contract.

How long will you keep the footage to our wedding?

We will keep the digital footage to your wedding at least one year.

Do you have back-up personnel and equipment should the need be presented?

Yes. We always have back up equipment with us and we have a myriad of professionals we are in relationship with who can assist in emergencies. However, after several years in this profession we have never needed back up once.

Do you shoot in High-Definition?

Yes. We always shoot in High Definition.. Blu-ray discs are available and recommended for higher quality image.. Please specify if you would like Blu-ray or a standard DVD. Additional Blu-ray discs are $50/per unit compared to $30/per unit for an additional standard DVD.

Do you do referrals for other services?

Yes. Just let us know what you are looking for assistance in and we can refer you to trusted vendors.
